Douglass Dodson Hearne, Jr.
Background
Mr. Hearne was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree (History) from Texas A&M University in 1984, and graduated from St. Mary’s Law School in 1987. Upon graduating from law school, and upon the recommendation of his trail advocacy professor, the Honorable Jack Miller, the firm of Shanks Butler & Miller (San Antonio) hired Mr. Hearne as an associate in 1987. He left Shanks, Butler & Miller only to return home to Austin to marry his bride and practice law in Austin with his father. Mr. Hearne spent a dozen wonderful years practicing with his father and the members of Hearne, Knolle, Lewallen, Livingston & Holcomb until approximately 2001, when Mr. Hearne left to become a solo practitioner.
